Bob Seale, CPA, holds an Accountancy Degree from California Polytechnic University. Prior to managing a regional accounting and auditing practice, he was an auditor for Ernst. He was the first CPA in the History of Nevada to be elected Treasurer for the State (from 1990-1998), and served in the Nevada Legislature from 2004-2006. As Treasurer, Seale garnered a host of awards including the Nevada Taxpayers Association "Good Government of the Year" Award in 1998, and the Jesse Unruh Award for Outstanding Treasurer of the Year in 1999. He served as President of the National Association of State Treasurers in 1995.
Bob Beers, CPA, CFE, earned a BS in Business Administration (Accounting major) with Distinction from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) in 1987. An alumnus of Laventhol & Horwath's Las Vegas office, he was the Managing Partner of Wilson, Beers & Company from its inception in 1989 until it was acquired by a larger regional CPA firm in 2002. He was twice named to the Las Vegas Business Press "Top 40 Under 40" during the late 90s. In 1999, Beers was elected to the Nevada State Legislature where he served six years in the Assembly and four years in the Senate. He has worked as a Chief Financial Officer for a radio broadcasting company, restaurant and liquor importer. In 2009, he was appointed by Nevada's Governor as the accounting and finance expert on the Board of Directors of the Las Vegas Monorail Company to help guide the system through restructuring its' debt in bankruptcy court. His volunteer activity includes membership on the UNLV Department of Accounting Advisory Board, Treasurer of the Tonopah Historic Mining Park Foundation, and the US Commission on Civil Rights Nevada Advisory Committee. During 2010, he became a Certified Fraud Examiner.
David C. Williams is a member of the Nevada Society of CPAs, the AICPA, and the CFA Institute. An Accounting and Business Administration graduate of The University of Kansas, he earned his MBA in Finance and International Business from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas. He is an active CPA in the State of Maryland and is working toward reciprocity in Nevada. A former Deloitte auditor, Dave also teaches in the Finance Department at UNLV's College of Business and serves as Honorary Consular Emissary in Las Vegas for the Republic of Chile. His extensive experience in global emerging markets includes working for the global oil and gas firm Amoco in its Houston-based Former Soviet Union Group as an Economic Analyst; Spain's Santander Investment as an Equity Research Analyst (both in New York and Caracas, Venezuela), where he focused on the Latin American telecommunications sector, among others; and with technology and hedge-fund startups in Europe.
Bojan Stokic is scheduled to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from UNLV in December of 2010, where his grade point average thus far is 4.0. He brings Seale and Beers experience in retail, sales and tourism.
Megan Haller is another Las Vegas native who attends UNLV on a Millennium Scholarship. Initially an Electrical Engineering student, she plans to graduate in May 2011 in Accounting. Upon graduation she plans to obtain her CPA license. Megan has earned scholarship awards, and is an accomplished hiker and painter.
Yevgeniya Beloshitskaya (Jane) is currently attending University of Nevada Las Vegas and College of Southern Nevada working her way towards obtaining her CPA license and degree in Accounting. She has experience in accounting industry as a political campaign/party controller and bookkeeper. Jane also has five years experience in the hotel industry as an auditor of daily operations and lead customer services agent. She is fluent in English, Armenian, Russian, Ukrainian languages, and has basic knowledge of French.
Tina Fagin is a Las Vegas native with over 25 years of general office and customer-service experience. Tina has been employed in the gaming industry, working her way from clerk in the Audit Dept to a Shift Manager in the casino cage over an 11-year period. She gained extensive office experience working in a family-owned retail store, starting as the accounts payable clerk to office manager. Tina has hands-on experience with several computer accounting brands and loves learning in all forms.
Martselina Phillips is a student at CSN. She is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, Armenian, and English and has basic knowledge of French. She has experience in hospitality industry customer service, and as an office assistant in campaign finance. She also is proficient with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Campaign Manager and PowerPoint.
Nick Abdelnour is scheduled to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an Accounting major and Finance minor from UNLV in May of 2011. He plans to receive his Masters of Science in Accountancy in May 2012 and then pursue his CPA license. He brings three years of experience working in the hotel and customer service industry.
